  10. What the #@$% is SmartScale ?
  11.  
  12. SmartScale is a little program I wrote intended for graphic conversion script
  13. files. It has 3 output modes. Con, env & ask. You can even use it just for
  14. graphics info. It will look at a picture or animation and tell you the
  15. dimensions of that picture and output the information to the con or env.
  16. It has internal ILBM support and will use datatypes for other graphic types.
  17. If you enter x & y scale args, the args will be recalculated & output'd in
  18. order to keep the aspect ratio of the picture or animation the same.
  19. You can also scale using the percentage argument instead of X & Y coordinates.
  20. If you use the ask mode you will be asked to enter an X & Y scale or %. 
  21. Ideal for script files. If no file argument is given when in "ask" or "con"
  22. mode a file requestor will be automatically opened. If executed from the
  23. WorkBench or with no parameters information about the selected graphics file
  24. will be displayed in a requestor. You will then have the option of peforming
  25. scale calculations.

  32. SmartScale.

  36.  SmartScale [con/env/ask] [file name] [x scale] [y scale]

  38.  SmartScale [con/env/ask] [file name] [%] [1-100]
  39.  eg. SmartScale env pic.iff 640 200
  40.                   or
  41.      SmartScale con pic.iff % 50

  43.  ENV outputs:
  44.  XIN & YIN input size of picture
  45.  DIN depth of picture
  46.  FT  file type
  47.  XOUT & YOUT calculated size of picture within the [X,Y,% scale] args
  48.              while still maintaining the correct aspect ratio.
